1. Keep Yourself Covered!

One of the most effective ways to keep your staff content is to make sure that their workload is just right. This means you'll need to hire enough staff to make sure they can all take a break when they need to, to save them from being overworked. However, there's another pitfall you'll need to keep an eye on: keeping your staff from being underworked. Hiring too many staff members per guest will leave them bored, restless, and on the edge of quitting, so start slow when it comes to first starting your coaster park!

2. Keep Your Staff Rested

Busy staff need breaks! Making sure your coaster park has enough staff buildings to accommodate all of your staff members is incredibly important when it comes to keeping them happy. A word to the wise, though: don't forget to choose perks for each staff building, to make sure they're as effective as possible to keep a pep in their step. From staff healthcare to learning resources, each perk has bonuses for certain staff members, so be sure to think about which ones will benefit most from each.

3. Train, Train, Train

Training staff is the best way to ensure they're able to cope with higher levels of guests, and keeps them from feeling too overworked as your coaster park grows in size. However, it's worth keeping in mind that you don't want to train your staff too much, too fast, as they'll start to demand higher pay and may even get restless and quit if they don't have enough guests to serve with their skill level!

4. Use Those Rosters!

Once your coaster park has reached a certain size, you're going to want to think about assigning work rosters to your staff; these will allow you to assign staff members to specific parts of the coaster park, so that they're not having to spend time running around to work in various areas, and is likely to save them feeling tired. Just make sure to assign a staff building for each roster, or you'll have some unhappy staff members on your hands!

5. Keep Your Pay In Check

As staff are offered training, and expected to deal with higher workloads, they'll be expecting their pay to increase, too. A good rule of thumb is to increase staff pay by about 10% per training level, but if in doubt, keep an eye on the staff management screen and you should be able to tell who's happy with their compensation.

We hope you found this guide to staff management in Planet Coaster: Console Edition useful, and that it provided some insight into how to get your staff performing at their best in your coaster parks!
