Discover the Frontier Workshop

Want to share your incredible Planet Coaster: Console Edition creations, or get some inspiration from other players? The Frontier Workshop is the place for you! Today, we're taking you through everything you need to know to make the most of it.

What Is The Frontier Workshop?

Simply put, the Frontier Workshop is the destination for Planet Coaster: Console Edition players to share their creations. Whether you're new to building or a seasoned creator, there's bound to be something for you amongst the 70,000+ blueprints available! From detailed scenery pieces to full coaster parks, there's an incredible range of builds to see, share, and download, and if you've created something you're ready to show off, you can also upload your own blueprints for other players to enjoy. You can browse the Frontier Workshop from either your console or your web browser, and there's always something new to discover!

How To Upload Your Creations

If you've got a build you're itching to share with the Planet Coaster: Console Edition community, uploading your blueprint to the Frontier Workshop couldn't be easier! Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Select the building or scenery you want to share, navigate to the 'Building Management' tab for that building, then select 'Save Building'.
  2. Choose 'New Creation' from the My Blueprints screen, and fill in the name and description for your blueprint - this is exactly how it will be viewed on the Frontier Workshop, so be as descriptive as possible so other players are able to find your contributions! Don't forget you can also adjust the framing and lighting of your screenshot to make sure your blueprint is looking its best.
  3. Once your blueprint is saved, you'll want to navigate to the Frontier Workshop from the pause menu, then select 'My Profile'. This is where you'll be able to see your uploads, builds you're subscribed to, and any creations you've favourited.
  4. Select 'Upload a Creation', choose your blueprint from the menu, and hit the 'Upload to Frontier Workshop' button, and you're done! You can update and adjust builds you've created, as well as altering their visibility on the workshop, so don't worry if you get a sudden flash of inspiration and want to make some changes.

With cross-generation support, anything uploaded on a previous-gen* console can also be downloaded on its current-gen** equivalent.

How To Download Blueprints

If you're looking for some additional inspiration for your coaster park, the Frontier Workshop is a great place to find exciting new blueprints that your guests are bound to love! You can browse the workshop in-game, or in your web browser, here. Once you've found a blueprint you want to incorporate into your coaster park, all you have to do is subscribe to it, and then it should appear in the appropriate building menu in-game once it's downloaded. It's that easy!

We hope you've enjoyed this in-depth look at everything the Frontier Workshop has to offer, and that you're feeling inspired to create, share, and download your own blueprints!
